Sausages

One thing Europeans have over us is sausages. We have so few choices in the sausage department… Breakfast, Italian, Bratwurst, etc. After a week of flu, I felt like making some comfort food. In my world, comfort food usually means pub grub. Tonight I decided to make Toad in the Hole. But I was faced with the great sausage dilemma. I selected what was in the freezer because I am trying to cook from my freezer and pantry, but bratwurst and Toad just seem a little off.

Pocket Full of Fun Pillow - Quilted pillow perfect for kids

In 2012, I want to spend more time feeding my creative side.  I have an amazing sewing that misses me and an incredible need to off load some stress.  Which lead me to Craftsy. I find some many great ideas and people who really inspire me there.  Here is a super cute idea and a workshop that explains it all.

The weeping angel you called ugly? She can’t even look at herself in the mirror. See that unemotional Cybermen? He used to be one of us. The Oods that you make fun of? They get treated as slaves everyday. The lady that you called crazy? She knows all of time and space. See the weird man with the bowtie and the fez? He’s the loneliest man in the universe. Reblog this if you’re against bullying in the Time-Space Continuum.

Fandom legitimizes everything.

It’s about time one of these made the rounds. Next I want a Sherlock one. Do itttttt

Doctor Who battles Merlin in UK's 2012 National Television Awards

The final shortlist nominees for the 2012 National Television Awards have been announced.

Doctor Who is, once again, up for Best Drama. The show faces competition from Merlin, Downton Abbey and last year’s winner, Waterloo Road, which notoriously put an end to Doctor Who’s winning streak in the category.

Matt Smith and John Barrowman are up for Best Male Drama Performance, while Karen Gillan and Eve Myles are nominated for Best Female Drama Performance.

The Doctor Who nominated categories in full:

Best Drama

  • Doctor Who
  • Downton Abbey
  • Merlin
  • Waterloo Road

Best Male Drama Performance

  • Matt Smith (Doctor Who)
  • John Barrowman (Torchwood: Miracle Day)
  • Martin Clunes (Doc Martin)
  • David Threlfall (Shameless)

Best Female Drama Performance

  • Karen Gillan (Doctor Who)
  • Eve Myles (Torchwood: Miracle Day)
  • Jaye Jacobs (Waterloo Road)
  • Suranne Jones (Scott & Bailey)

You can vote for this year’s nominees online here. You know what to do.

Voting closes midday Wednesday 25th January. The awards ceremony will be broadcast the same day live on ITV1 beginning 7.30pm.

Seriously struggling on which way to vote in a few categories! British TV is so much better than American TV.

Instead of doing some big self discipline/deprivation effort in order to better myself in 2012 I’m simply going to continue to seek balance in all things, growing daily, step by step enjoying the journey the best I can.

We should all strive for this!

Stuff Irish People Love picks up on the very Irish habit of treating last orders like it’s a bell informing patrons that alcoholic beverages will never again be served, leading to armfuls of pints being ordered.
